Buys Winn & Co. Insurance Brokers, a century-old
retail brokerage based in Hollister, Calf. Donald Winn and
staff will continue to operate from current location under
James McFarlane, West Coast regional manager of
Gallagher’s retail p-c operations. >> Also buys
insurance business of FirstCity Partnership of London. It is a
Lloyd’s firm specializing in coverages for the financial
services industry, as well as professional risk, asset
protection, trade and political risks, and fine art specie. Tim
Watkins and a team of brokers will operate as the Financial and
Professional Lines Division under Gallagher’s U.K.
brokerage. Other FirstCity members will merge into
Gallagher’s existing U.K. broking operations.
BLISS & GLENNON
Mike Moran chosen as eastern region executive and
managing director of national specialty brokerage business.
Acquires John J. Slattery Associates, an employee
benefits and individual medical products and services provider.
It will operate as Slattery Associates in its current office.
