Changes NYSE ticker symbol for common stock to AON (from AOC). >> Buys Allied North America, which specializes in construction and surety biz. >> Ted Devine leaves as president of Aon Risk Services to become executive chairman of 1World Sports, which was founded by a grant from the Aon Foundation to host sports-related mentoring and training events for children around the globe. His former position is not being filled. Chairman and CEO Steve McGill, COO Mike O’Connor and the Aon Risk Services executive committee will cover the duties. >> Aon Risk Services hires Sandeep Mallik as CEO of Asian unit. He comes from Prudential. >> Simon Allen named COO of Aon Ltd. in London and a member of the board of directors. He was COO for Prudential. >> Ross Smith, president and CEO of subsidiary K&K Insurance, retires. Donald Koziol, president and CEO of Aon Underwriting Managers, is interim CEO for K&K. >> Aon buys FCC Global Insurance Services, a captive construction brokerage in Madrid and one of Spain’s largest construction groups. Aon Risk Services will be FCC’s exclusive global broker for 10 years.
