Aon’s Entertainment Group restructures, integrating into it Aon/Albert G. Ruben, the entertainment risk brokerage. George Walden named CEO of Aon/Albert G. Ruben to succeed Sam Cargill, who becomes Entertainment Group chairman. Paul Jones and Brian Kingman are appointed co-managing directors in Ruben’s Los Angeles office.>> Aon’s Agribusiness and Food Systems Group creates new unit for specialized risks in the bio-fuels industry. Completes purchase of Lowndes Lambert Group Canada with Lowndes CEO Philip Kane continuing to lead the operation.>> AJG acquires Fishermans Insurance Services, which does business as FIS Marine. Robert Taylor and Bruce Thiffault will continue to operate in their Seattle location under the leadership of James McFarlane, West Coast Regional Manager of Gallagher’s Broker Services Retail Division.>> AJG acquires Elite Benefits Insurance Marketing Services.>> AJG combines AJG Bermuda, Innovative Risk Services, Scholastic & Municipal Risk Services and AJG captive management units in Bermuda, Grand Cayman, Hawaii and Vermont to form Artex Risk Solutions, which will provide alternative risk transfer services. It will focus on commercial middle-market and public entity segments. David McManus will serve as president of Artex and will remain based in Bermuda.>> Susan McGrath joins as corporate v.p. and chief human resource officer, replacing the retiring Elizabeth Brinkerhoff. www.ajg.com


Acquires T.R. Jones along with its affiliate Kraft Insurance Agency. The purchase adds five Florida offices to Beecher Carlson’s current presence in the state. T.R. Jones and Kraft  have expertise in the hospitality, health care and construction industries.>> Beecher Carlson appoints Ida Havens as senior v.p., National Healthcare Practice.
